I used to tell Don we shouldn’t take our grandkids out for ice cream … Every. Single. Time.

Process notes:
The Buda Soda Fountain lettering was penned on the “right side” of the cloth, but then stitched on the other side …
And I wasn’t at all sure I could replicate the epic sundaes that Jackson and Jace were eating, but I found some long-lost rust dyeing that filled the bill.

Took me a while to work out the writing imagery but I love the reference to looking out from the inside! Ice cream is always welcome…

it was a puzzle, how to render the letters that fade when backlit by the sky … sounds like I succeeded 😉
