I just didn’t like them enough, so I did them again. The Dewberry blossom especially, taking the best ideas from the 2016 and 2021 versions.
The ant still isn’t quite right, but I’m done for now. Re-revision is always possible though.

LA – such an artist thing – not satisfied so go back in to see if it can be improved – the additions and refinement look good but so did the originals lol. Go well. B

B – I’ll never look at any of these patches so closely again, but leaving them as they were would have bothered me … better to fix them and be done with it (although the ant may well lose its head in search of better antennae)

Mmmm…as always, I like them both. Having said that, I really do like the ‘notebook paper’ 🙂

ha! … I did end up re-doing the ant’s antennae … and I’m much much happier with the dewberry petals

So interesting – both sets are identifiably similar; yet both quite different. The second page tells you much more its a page; and the petal and stamen definition on the second are stronger too. Sometimes one is OK with the looser look; but sometimes it just isn’t saying what you want it to say! I hope you can happily move onto the next ones now – enjoy!
