We got our first doses of the Pfizer vaccine on January 25th …

But because of the icy weather in Texas, our second doses scheduled for February 15 got changed to the 17th … then the 19th … and finally, the 25th.
I’m just glad the EMT who administered the shot had better aim with his needle than I did with mine …

Then there was the difference between frozen Friday, February 17th …

and fabulous Friday, February 23rd …

I’m definitely biased …

but I prefer the latter.
Oh so glad you got your 2nd dose! I go tomorrow for my first. I prefer sunny, for sure.

major head shaking here today as our governor has just lifted all mandates the day after the Centers for Disease Control announced “now is not the time to cease preventive measures” … Texas is about to make the news again, in the worst way
thank goodness President Biden has accelerated the vaccine supply lines … fingers crossed it will be enough

What a difference a week makes – I like the division in the patch. And so good to know that folk are getting vaccinated; it is truly our way out of this terrible time. But yikes – don’t give up masks just yet! Take care and stay well – the vaccine patch will be a great marker in years to come when we speak of the Covid times…

An interesting statistic showed up in the news … “only” 450 people died of flu-related illnesses this year, compared to tens of thousands in past years. We have always taken the flu vaccine, but I’m thinking masks had a tremendous impact on lowering flu morbidity. Something to remember for the future.
