Wendell Berry is a favorite of mine. I spent some time reading his poetry last night, thinking of Michelle.

This morning holds such a sadness for the loss of Michelle…I automatically went to her blog, eager to read how her week in New York had gone, what strolls she had taken. I turned to John O’Donohue and his poem, “Beannacht” and these ending stanzas:
“May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of the light be yours.
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love, around you, an invisible cloak
to mind your life.”
