Miscellanea

Sometimes wandering around in the ether pays off, as with this lovely hack for storing my variegated Valdani perle cottons …

And then there’s the joy of having an artist in the family, who has just added another lighthouse to this previous assemblage …

inspired no doubt by past travels to St. Michaels, Maryland and Manteo, North Carolina …

Another online find was learning how to “turn off” ads and suggested sites on Instagram. Just click on “Instagram” in the upper left corner, then click on “Following” …

Of course technology isn’t fail-proof as I learned the other night when the moonlight coming in through the blinds made a perfect impression on the wall of this bit of cloth …

I tried to take a picture, but I guess the light my eyes saw was a bit too subtle for the camera to perceive …

Fortunately, there’s plenty of light now that the sun has come out …

And now I’m sitting outside … loving that it is so peaceful and quiet …

Connecting the dots (with addendum at the end)

I’ve been enjoying recent dot posts at Feel Free and Bee Creative. So it was no surprise that I particularly liked this dyed and (I think) discharged cloth gifted by onetime-neighbor Connie

I cut out a few and stitched them onto one side of My Heart’s Compass using variegated Valdani #12 perle cotton in my now-favored herringbone stitch …

And I must say, I love the new little appliqué pins I purchased recently … better late than never!

Addendum:

Or this? Hmmmm …
