It’s a new month, for library lovers no less …

And so far, my favorite event is Carrot Cake Day, which I celebrated by making a half batch of Smitten Kitchen’s cupcake version topped with a simple schmear of butter cream …

My table topper proceeds apace …

And thanks to Nancy, I viewed this LINK and decided it’s high time to check out the Texas Quilt Museum.
So stay tuned … there’s more to come.
Liz~ My son loves carrot cake!
I can’t wait to see more, for sure! Your quilt has grown much bigger than I realized and such color-filled fun 🙂

For some reason I had in my head that making carrot cake would be a production … this recipe disproved the theory, so I’ll be making it again (and again) for sure
Thanks so much for the lead on the Texas Quilt Museum … I’ll be writing a post later today

LA – what great calendar – so many encouraging opportunities. Whilst carrot cake day, including rabbit sketch, could be a favourite – the one that made me smile was M’s not valentines day!!! Now there would be a story there. The topper just grows and grows. Go gently. B

I’ve found that I now look to see what other holidays are on the same day … which can be just as much fun
And for sure I’ll tell the tale of Melissa’s “not Valentine’s Day” celebrations … on February 14th of course
