I’ve been enjoying recent dot posts at Feel Free and Bee Creative. So it was no surprise that I particularly liked this dyed and (I think) discharged cloth gifted by onetime-neighbor Connie …

I cut out a few and stitched them onto one side of My Heart’s Compass using variegated Valdani #12 perle cotton in my now-favored herringbone stitch …

And I must say, I love the new little appliqué pins I purchased recently … better late than never!
Addendum:
Or this? Hmmmm …

Like orbs floating through your life’s compass .. they look terrific!! Colors could not be more perfect.

Another connection to hold close to your heart for friends, family and fond memories surely are the backbone of a heart’s compass; how it holds holds all of this and more. What a wonder is your herringbone stitch; it makes Connie’s dots so lively!

LA – beautiful colours in the fabric and gorgeous way to use the various elements. I had to smile about your favoured herringbone stitch – isn’t it funny how we land on a technique that we find right for us. Go well. B
