Griffin and Parker had a half day at school on Friday, so we invited them to spend the afternoon with us. While they were here, I asked G to change the word on our marquee using 5 or 6 Scrabble tiles so they would all fit. Here’s what he came up with …

Clever kid! Unfortunately, I didn’t make time to take any other pictures as we were far too busy playing cribbage and Uno and eating ice cream at the Buda Drug Store.
That said, we did have Ellis over on Thursday and I managed to take a picture or two. I think it’s safe to say she likes having rainbow plates for dinner, just like her older sister …

On a different note, here for the record is Don’s latest painting, an 8×10 acrylic that has already left the house …

And that does it, as yesterday was spent doing routine house cleaning. Hopefully I’ll have some new stitching to show next time.
Beautiful painting, enjoying time with the kids- so glad to see the happiness!

Ellis is so adorable! She looks so much like Parker did when I first met her here 🙂
Don’s painting is full of mood and mystery! We like!

You’re so right about how Ellis looks more and more like Parker … it’s always fascinating to watch who children look like as they grow … constantly changing, as if trying on various genes for size (ha!)

I laugh … Parker asked us once why we weren’t eating all the colors, too … our answer was we had eaten them earlier in the day (which we had, being very fond of fruit especially)

I’ll have to remind him of that when he’s disappointed …

Hi LA – never a dull moment at your place. Great painting of Don’s – I can see why it was out the door so swiftly. Such a smile on E’s face – rainbow joy. Go well. B

it’s gotten to the point where there is a decreasing amount of wall space in our home … so if someone says they like a painting, it is offered on the spot (I have to get pictures of some that already left … fortunately we get to “visit” them … the owners and the paintings)

And a fun time was had by all;; these times that you share with us are such joy bringers! Rainbow food, fun activities and that painting of Don’s, reminds me of Van Morrison’s Into the Mystic!
“We were born before the wind
Also, younger than the sun
‘Ere the bonnie boat was won
As we sailed into the mystic…”

Oh, joyful memories with Van Morrison playing in the background … we never got to see him in concert, unfortunately
