I didn’t post yesterday … thought about it and decided there wasn’t enough worth writing about … I mean, it was a cleaning and shopping day … so meh.
However, I did learn something worth sharing. Don wasn’t feeling well, so he got out our Covid tests, only to find they were expired. Wondering if they could still be used, I did some googling around and found out that the FDA has extended many expiration dates. You can go here to look up the test type (easily done as there are images), then click to see if your tests are still viable. In fact, the tests we have with a 07/07/2022 expiration date have been extended to April 2023.
And no … Don doesn’t have Covid (phew!) …
and yes … I’ve ordered more free tests to get us past April …
and ha! … look at the header on the free tests page …

Okay … lunch is over, I’ve written a blog post, and now there’s no excuse to delay any longer … it’s time to get back to stitching the bed cloth … which will feel good in my lap as the temperature outside has fallen to a more winter-ish 52 degrees (well, winter-ish by Texas standards anyway).
Glad he doesn’t have covid! And yes to your other points…I’ve had that linked saved forever (and have used a lot of ‘expired’ tests)…and have ordered all that are available too! So ready to stop thinking about covid.

Now they’re talking about the possibility of annual Covid vaccine boosters … I’m ready to roll up my sleeve whenever they become available

I did receive some free Covid tests from the government but now get them free through Project ACT from the Rockefeller Foundation. Project Act provides free monthly Covid tests (5 in a pkg) to citizens of the following states: New Mexico , Arkansas, Illinois, Main, Michigan and Ohio. Right now I have 10 tests that expire in August and September 2023 and that’s before checking the date..

I discovered that one of the boxes we had did not appear on the list of authorized tests … fortunately, we never used them

Maybe it’s careless of us, but Iqbal and I have never had a covid test. We’ve never had any symptoms. Actually we haven’t really been sick at all (except for a 12 hour reaction to a booster that I had).
Vaccines are good, however often needed.
