Tuesday morning update: we were fortunate that none of the tornadoes touched down in our area, but apparently it was a close call as rotating clouds were photographed over our neighborhood. Sadly, many others in Central Texas weren’t as fortunate, but at least it appears to be limited to property damage with no reported deaths or serious injuries.
Monday evening:
There have been multiple tornado warnings in our area … one tornado currently active.
We’re fine … will keep you posted.

Prayers sent up 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Please stay safe; do you have a safe place to get to?
We used to live in Round Rock when we lived in Texas.
We lived through a tornado when we lived in TN. TN is often called tornado alley but we did not know that when we moved there ! The sound of an approaching tornado is awful, like an out of control freight train coming at you. It destoryed several homes, a church and school not far from us and there were many casualties. We did not have a basement to take shelter in but did have a large walk in closet with a door and we were very lucky, only some tree limbs broke, no damage to our rental home.

Thanks to all for your concerns … I sensed that the outbreak might make it onto national news
Today it’s sunny and breezy and beautiful … and I am thankful

grateful for small mercies, or rather a big one!
it is the random unpredictability that is unnerving…..
a few weekends ago we had 3 storms in a row Dudley, Eunice and Franklin: a long weekend of sorts!
no damage in our backyard, fortunately, but I did attempt a walk in the windy afternoon and was literally blown back home;-)
glad you are safe and well, and kept it whole

I can relate … there were three tornado tracks that marched through Central Texas last night … we were simply lucky this time, but I have no doubt that this will become part of the new normal as the earth responds to the changes triggered by the warming caused in large part by fossil fuel consumption
so yes, may we all be safe

Hi Liz, so glad that you are safe. I flashbacked to our first tornado season in Nebraska… And I’m full of love for and for how your heart led you to create your prayer flag gathering. Just wonderful.

Oh Liz, late but pleased you missed out, even tho others nearby were impacted. The weather all over is telling us that we are living with climate change now. Not 2030 or 2050 – here and now in 2022. No salmon fishing here because the rivers are so dry…floods beyond belief in Eastern Australia. Keep stitching.
