This time I remembered gloves and actually took (some) process shots of the latest Shibori trial. After stitching a double spiral on white linen (sigh, no pictures of that), I soaked the resulting bundle in plain water and wrung it out …

Next I chose a purple page in the swatch book and puddled a handful of colors …

then smooshed them together (a very technical description of my modus operandi) …

At which point things got too messy for photography, but suffice it to say I dabbled the various colors rather randomly onto the damp linen, then set it out in the Texas sun to dry …

I’ll post the results tomorrow. Meantime, here’s a picture of our littlest boo (and yes, at 90 degrees it’s still barefoot-in-bathing-suit weather in Texas) …

with her new best buddy Skelligan …

Ooh…I can’t wait to see it tomorrow! Do you ever apply with a brush in particular parts? I love these colors, so beautiful. Your littlest BOO is so adorable! She found a buddy 🙂

The big reveal when unrolling dyed cloth never gets old; the anticipation is always so high and especially in this latest Shibori of yours. I agree with Nancy on these fabulous colors.
Your little Boo and her pal are such an enchanting Halloween sight…
And I replied to your comment on grace’s blog: left a suggestion for a place for you and Don to visit in Santa Fe, if you haven’t already,

Rancho de las Golondrinas sounds wonderful … and La Choza is on our dinner wish list for sure … I’m hoping we’ll see some hot air balloons when we’re in the Albuquerque area, even though the festival will be over by Monday
