Apparently I have exceeded the media storage limit on the WordPress version of this blog … which I pay for. As opposed to the original blog, which is free.
So do I buy more storage capacity on WordPress or go back to Blogger? Decisions, decisions.
Update: I paid the piper and am now back in business.
Isn’t all of this ridiculous?

Yes, it is … but I took the path of least resistance and forked over the requisite upgrade … now to see if I’m back in business

just to repeat myself here,
I have had a free blog on WordPress for 10 years and have never exceeded their storage capacity (admittedly don’t share any audio files or video) I just pay $AUS 39 per year to keep it ad free, they keep the blog up to date with all the technology changes and have never had any problems with loading images or sharing youtube clips. The problems seem to happen with their paid for domain names & websites!

Mo … thanks for taking the time to repeat this (there may well be others who can also benefit from your experience) … I had the same plan as you (except $49 USD, not $39) to keep the ads off my otherwise free blog (I don’t use the domain/website functions). But I think I used up a tremendous amount of capacity when I downloaded 8 years of my old blog into this new one. So, I exceeded the media capacity and had to upgrade to a premium account to double the storage (at double the $49 fee, discounted 25% for the first year) … happily, I estimate it will last for another ten years! Now I just need to get on with it …

I guess we all have to make it work for us the best we can (exactly like my non-work situation!)…there’s issues everywhere. I’ve used free blogger this whole time and just made adjustments when they made changes. So far it’s been okay.

I’ve been spoiled by the ease with which I can post from my iPhone using the WordPress app … but I do miss some of the Blogger features (the Kindred Spirits list most of all), so I take the time to keep up both the old and new versions
