we’re enjoying the green while we can … the summer sun will brown out a lot of it, if only for a while … now if we could just figure out a way to humanely discourage the neighborhood cats from visiting …

Such a luscious, beautiful green oasis : Why I could simply drag a sleeping bag next to your tomato patch and drift off into a green heaven. Of course, I would have, a little bag, tucked into the sleeping bag containing a baguette and some olive oil, maybe some sea salt too and when I woke up, I would take a tomato, slice it on the olive oil drenched baguette and then inch by inch, make my way to your chives, basil, etc. snip a bit here and there and have a grand breakfast…

as I read this I was preparing to slice into a loaf of Central Market bread, which I dunked in olive oil and Maldon salt … tomatoes and herbs will definitely put this simple repast over the top someday soon (and I do like to add a bit of fresh mozz to the mix)
