The little things

May 6, 2021 – Sprinkles make everything better

Years ago, when G was pre-schooler, we would pick him up early once a week and go on an adventure. Here’s a snap taken at Zilker Park that just popped up on my Facebook memory feed …

We most likely would have done much the same with Parker, but Covid made that an impossibility until recently. The good news is, starting yesterday we now have a standing date for Thursday afternoons. So we packed up water and sunscreen, picked up P after her nap, and headed for the Wildflower Center …

Everything was exciting and new when seen through her eyes, even though she’d seen it all before a long, long time ago …

Then we headed back to our house to play games, do puzzles, color pictures, and play hide-and-seek. All followed by dinner and dessert.

“Can we put sprinkles on the ice cream?”

Of course we can …

    1. thankful that the After Times came soon enough to make pre-school memories with P … for sure we won’t take any of it for granted

  1. The little things are truly the great things that make up our lives: the experiences that we share with our grands are treasured moments and memories…it is wonderful to see them continue with Parker and soon,Ellis will be treated to her special day with her grands…sprinkles, small but mighty memory keepers for they sprinkle our days with joy and love.

  2. So much goodness in sharing time – I think you are right they will remember so many moments. So happy that the AT allows for it!
