Usually snow would be cause for celebration, but not now, not in Texas …
Our daughter in Austin has no water … they are boiling snow. It’s a thing now if one is to believe the New York Times …

Half of our town is on boil water notices. Fortunately, I put the plug on our tub, so the dripping water has filled it halfway. Easier to boil tub water than snow I’m thinking.
But there are more dark clouds on the horizon …
And our family’s text messages are pretty dark …
As are the media messages …
Meanwhile …

Nice work if you can get it.
Update:

Really.
Maybe he should stay there.

They cut corners and never insulated the pipes bringing in the oil and gas. Cause it never gets “cold” Well, it’s getting cold with Global Warming which means Texas gets snow and Maine doesn’t. I did not know Cruz went to Cancun. Where’s Hawley?

Aw, man Liz. I’ve been listening to the news and thinking about you and other Texas folks I know. My heart breaks for all of those suffering. Right as I was opening your blog, there was a story on MSNBC about a reporter’s son who choked on a peanut, needing immediate surgery to save his life…the whole story was harrowing. Awful. Be safe. Be well You all are in my heart. xo

Hi LA – things are looking pretty bad for you guys. Sending you love and positive vibes to you and yours that the bad weather will ease – though it will take time for the outages to be fixed. Stay safe. B

thank you, we are … and we are counting our blessings as the last bits of snow melt into the grass outside our window … temperatures will be in the 60s today, so at least all those who are laboring to repair the damage will be warm …
