As I went through my morning laptop routine (online Austin American Statesman, calendar, email (and spam), WordPress comments (and spam), FaceBook (and spam), New York Times Spelling Bee (always going for “Genius”), saving Kindred Spirit blogs for last (my breakfast “dessert”), I got stuck on this calendar entry …

Hmmm, what was I thinking? It actually took a little digging in the January 25, 2020 post before I came on this comment by Fiona …

So I went back to Acey’s Collage Challenge prompt to tell a story of self above, below, and within. What came to mind was how much I have always loved contemplative walks along the edge of the sea. And how I have long considered the nexus of those three elements to be the very definition of heaven. All this, ironically, as John Lennon’s lyrics to Imagine played in my head …

And so, a bit of shibori for the sky, Deb Lacativa magic for the sea, and prairie tea dyed linen for the sand.
All the while recalling that Don just happened to bring out our bowl of shell sand from the Outer Banks on Friday …
Imagine.

Oh I love this one Liz…the way a track of some kind has been made across the sand, almost like a tire track when they adjust and clean the sand. Love the fish bowl, perfect for holding those teeny gems! And of course JL. I’d have to think on that prompt a while I think. 🙂

If I had to guess, I’ll probably wake up in about 12 hours at 2:00 am and think, “wait, I should’ve done …”

Oh what a stunner! I am revisiting favourites on a weekly basis here. This one is such a beautiful suggestion of self above below and within – your happy place. I had no remembering of the re-prompting so was delighted to see you had a reminder in the calendar and could do it. Have you popped it back in for next year???

Don sounds like such an interesting person, I love that he brought out the Outer Banks sand. Sounds like something I would do. And the close-up of the sand is so very beautiful as is your sweet little patch. This daily journey of yours is so fun Liz, sorry it took me so long to get to it.
