How cloth/ing holds memory

February 27, 2021 – Clothing holds memory February 28, 2021 – Cloth holds memory

Jude commented the other day “they’ll be in college soon” to which I replied, “the oldest (grandchild) will be going in 2022.”

How did Logan go from so little …

to so big …

so fast?

And how did she and Eric manage to celebrate a one-year dating anniversary when they just met yesterday? Or so it seems to me.

Ah well … I had to smile when Lo’s mom texted this …

which prompted the two-part patch of one of my nana shirts combined with a red to match her dress …

From the oldest to the youngest: …

18 month old Ellis, who we went to visit on Sunday while G played baseball. As we pulled in to the driveway, I caught sight of a blue bird flying up and away. Thinking at first that it was a jay, my eye caught a flash of orange …

No doubt … it was the bluebird of happiness.

And so we bid a fond farewell to the last week in February …

Mwah …

Marking time

February 25, 2021 – Needle point February 26, 2021 – Chalk box

We got our first doses of the Pfizer vaccine on January 25th

But because of the icy weather in Texas, our second doses scheduled for February 15 got changed to the 17th … then the 19th … and finally, the 25th.

I’m just glad the EMT who administered the shot had better aim with his needle than I did with mine …

Then there was the difference between frozen Friday, February 17th …

and fabulous Friday, February 23rd …

I’m definitely biased …

but I prefer the latter.

February 24, 2021 – P’s knee patch February 25, 2021 – Jace’s love note

I replicated the knee patch I made on P’s knee last week. Having asked for pictures, Meg obliged with the following photo session results …

And because our St. Louis grandkids are always in our thoughts, I made a replica of Jace’s awesome Kindergarten printing …

I just can’t believe how the past six years have flown by!
